Hollister High School hosted an FFA Career and Leadership Development event on Monday, March 11.
While most students were off school campus for spring break, members of Future Farmers of America grades 7 through 12 spent the day as most farmers do, working various demanding activities.
Students in attendance were challenged to develop critical thinking skills and effective decision making, while fostering teamwork and promoting communication. Events range from livestock evaluation to landscaping, public speaking and more.
Hollister hosts one of the largest CDE events in the state of Missouri.
According to its website, the Missouri FFA boasts 26,830 members, and continues to grow. The FFA works to help the next generation to develop their talents in a broad range of career pathways using agricultural education.
