Recruitment Results: Haryana Govt’s Plan to Release Recruitment Results Amid Poll Code in Force | Gurgaon News

Gurgaon: As the model code of conduct (MCC) came into effect, several job seekers were left worried about the pending recruitments and delayed declaration of results of competitive examinations. However, the state government has found a way out. A senior administrative officer will be appointed who will work with Haryana Staff Selection Commission (HSSC) to facilitate the release of pending recruitment results.
This official will act as a link between HSSC and the chief secretary’s office. “Once appointed, the official will work closely with HSSC and ensure results are finalized as per norms, taking necessary approvals from the EC. This will help in avoiding any delays in the recruitment process,” a government spokesperson said. The move comes after HSSC chairman Bhopal Singh Khadri resigned from his post earlier this month, before the completion of his tenure on March 23, citing MCC restrictions.
Chief minister Nayab Singh Saini has approved the arrangement after discussions with senior officials. An IAS officer will be given the charge of HSSC administrator until a new chairman is appointed.
Haryana’s chief electoral officer Anurag Agarwal has also given a nod to the arrangement. He said an oversight committee under the chief secretary will meet twice a week to review pending cases and seek EC’s approval wherever required to avoid any violations of the poll code.
“This administrative mechanism will ensure recruitment processes are not stalled and deserving candidates get selected in a timely manner, despite MCC curbs ahead of the Lok Sabha elections,” the CM said.
Results of Common Eligibility Test for group D are pending at present, apart from a few categories of group C. The HSSC had started the post preference portal for the CET group D for 13,536 vacancies. The HSSC CET Group D Post Preference Portal was started on March 4 to give a chance to the candidates to choose their post preference and department preference before the declaration of results. Further, the recruitment exams of several group C posts are also pending in the state.
